Overall, a very decent California TR3A for restoration with nice original colors/options.
The car still retains it’s old small CA “pink slip” that matches it’s two license plates, original VIN plate with “LO” suffix denoting LHD and Overdrive, two brass body tags. There is a set of 5 very interesting period alloy-rimmed racing wire wheels that are included. Present are connecting rods(machined), cylinder head, flywheel, starter, generator, radiator, carbs/intake/exhaust, oil pan, internals, etc. We have inventoried the parts and haven’t noticed anything missing. The engine is complete but partially disassembled. The car’s engine and 4-speed standard gearbox are removed from the car but are included. The car includes an aftermarket sidecurtain set, old white soft top and trim kit. The car still retains it’s original steering wheel with trafficator, complete dashboard, instruments, top frame, interior cockpit railings/cappings, mostly original interior panels. The car’s interior is very complete, minus the seats. Bodywork/repairs should be pretty straightforward. Panel fit is great overall for a TR3A with nice panel gapping. Underneath the car looks great and shows a very solid straight frame, great original floors and inner rockers, perfect trunk floor. The front shroud/apron is VERY nice, a raraity on a TR3A.
It’s very straight overall with no signs of accidents, no hits in the front or rear, only showing some minimal rust on the outer rockers and LH front fender, an easy repair. We believe this car originally left the factory heavily optioned and painted Olde English White with black trim and weather equipment, rear seat shelf option, heater, fitted with 48-spoke wire wheels and a 4 speed overdrive gearbox. The car is still titled to it’s original issue pair of black and yellow California license plates. This car was just purchased from it’s long term owner in the San Francisco Bay Area who owned it for several years and was planning on restoring it.
